Terms of service

These terms apply to every school that uses Schedula and to every person the school gives access. By using the service you agree to them. Where a school has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement wins where the two differ.

Draft for legal review. This text is not yet in effect, and lines marked TO CONFIRM are still open.

The service

Schedula builds and edits school timetables, collects teacher preferences and supports the running of the school day. We set each school up together with it; there is no self-service sign-up.

Accounts and roles

  • The school decides who gets access and with which role: admin, editor or viewer.
  • Each person keeps their own password private and is responsible for what is done under their account.
  • Tell us at once if you suspect someone else is using an account.

The school’s data

The school owns the data it puts into Schedula and is responsible for having the right to enter it, including telling its staff how their information is used. We use it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy and data processing agreement.

Do not enter information about individual students, health information or other sensitive personal data that the service does not need.

Acceptable use

  • Do not try to reach another school’s data, test the service’s security without our written permission, or overload it.
  • Do not copy or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Do not use the service in breach of the law.

Timetables and AI features

Schedula builds timetables from the rules the school enters. The result depends on that data, and the school should check a timetable before relying on it.

AI features can be wrong. Their suggestions are proposals until a person approves them, and the school remains responsible for the decisions it makes with them.

Fees

Fees, if any, are agreed with each school in writing before the service starts. [TO CONFIRM: payment terms, renewal and price changes.]

Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available and correct, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We improve the service over time and may change or remove features; if a change removes something a school relies on, we tell its admins in advance.

Ending the service

A school can stop using Schedula at any time and can export its timetables first. An admin can delete the school, which deletes its data. We may suspend access that breaches these terms, after telling the school’s admins unless the breach is serious.

Ownership

Schedula, its software and its content belong to us. The school’s data, and the timetables made from it, belong to the school.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. [TO CONFIRM with counsel: limitation of liability, exclusions and any cap.]

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. [TO CONFIRM: exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Yafo.]

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We tell school admins about material changes before they take effect, and the date at the top always shows the current version.
